What We’ll Actually Do

This isn’t a gentle workshop where you write aspirations on sticky notes. This is intensive, practical planning work.

Before the day

You’ll complete pre-work mapping your current personal and business expenditure. This gives you real numbers to create a personal and relevant plan for your future.

During the day

We work through your business and wealth plan section by section:

  • Your current financial reality (business and personal)
  • Your “enough” numbers – what you actually need versus want versus dream wealth goals
  • The gap between where you are and where you want to be
  • Tax efficiency strategies to reduce the profit you need to generate
  • What your business actually needs to deliver to fund your wealth goals
  • Resource planning – how many working days you have and what that means for your rates
  • Marketing and sales planning to hit realistic revenue targets
  • Making your money work alongside your business to share your workload. Your money should be working while you sleep.
  • Financial tracking and quarterly review systems

You’ll have input from both business strategy and financial advisory expertise throughout the day. Collectively we have over 45 years of business experience, we know we don’t look old enough for that – well he doesn’t anyway.

The practical bit: By 5.30pm, you’ll have your plan mapped out. Not finished necessarily – that’s why we include the follow-up – but substantially progressed with clear next actions.

You’ll leave knowing your break-even point, your real profit margins, and what revenue target you actually need to hit (spoiler: probably lower than you think with proper planning). The Follow-Up That Makes The Difference

We include a 30-minute follow-up Zoom call 2-4 weeks after the planning day because we know how this works.

You’ll leave on the 4th with your plan substantially mapped out. Then you’ll go back to your business. Ideas will percolate. Questions will come up. You might hit a stumbling block on implementation.

That follow-up call is where we troubleshoot, answer questions, and make sure you’re actually implementing rather than just having a nice plan that sits in a drawer.

Practical Details

Date: Thursday 4th December 2025

Time: 9:30am arrival for 10:00am start – 5:30pm finish (spa access until 7:30pm if you want it)

What to bring:

  • Your completed pre-work expenditure worksheet (sent after booking)
  • Laptop or tablet if you prefer working digitally (we provide printed workbooks too)
  • Your actual business numbers is helpful, the more data the better your plan will be (last year’s accounts, current cashflow, etc.)
  • Honest mindset – no point coming if you’re going to fudge the figures

Dress code: Smart casual. You’re working, but you’re at a spa resort. Comfortable but not in a robe like some of the others you’ll see around on your walk to lunch. Robe’s and flipflops are provided if you use the spa. Also towels and toiletries, so you only need to pop your swimsuit in your bag just in case really.

About Your Business and Wealth Planning Day Facilitators

Tanya Gordon CMgr FCMI – 15+ years running businesses, Chartered Manager (CMI Level 7), founder of Many Hats of Business. Practical business strategy without the corporate nonsense. She’ll be hosting the day and is calling in the favours from husband Barry for significant portions of the day, although he’s on school run duty so won’t be invited to the spa. Shhhhh don’t tell him!

Barry Gordon APFS – 30+ years as Chartered Financial Advisor. Tax efficiency and wealth planning expertise, but also his many years of business experience. He now has a team of ten so isn’t short of business advise himself. His clients span all ages and scenarios, some are CEOs of FTSE companies, others are business owners whilst some are multigenerational families.  So it isn’t just his own business experience he draws on when advising clients.
